CTLS was formed as a specialist consultancy in response to the news that council tax has become Britain’s No.1 personal taxation issue.

The Director of CTLS is Alan Murdie, LL.B, Barrister, who is Britain’s most experienced council tax lawyer on behalf of the taxpayer. He has been involved with numerous appeals and test cases. He is Chairman of Nucleus Legal Advice in London, a consulting editor on local government law with Lexis Nexis, edits the Council Tax Handbook published by the Child Poverty Action Group and is a trainer with the Institute of Money Advisers.
